|This is a small boulder which, until recently, was set at the junction of two roads, has a
hollow resembling a hoof-print in its upper surface & is marked on the OS map as
‘Bulls Track’. This is traditionally where the bull stamped in anger on its journey from
Armaghbrague. The ‘Bulls Track’ is shown on Rocques’ 1760 map of Armagh and was
clearly a well-known landmark by that date. The stone was moved a short distance and
re-set at the road-side amid flower-beds when the road junction was re-aligned.
