DRUMMANY UPPER MEGALITHIC TOMB

This tomb is listed as unclassified but it has all the hallmarks of a wedge tomb. It
consists of a single chamber,4m in length and 1.5m at its widest, and is orientated NE -
SW.The SE wall of the chamber consists of six upright stones ranging in height form
1.3m - 1.1m, descending in height from NE-SW. The NW wall has only three uprights
remaining,again descending in height NE-SW. It is sited on a small hillock in the
center of a grassy field which slopes down towards the Annalee river,close to the N3
where it meets the N54, in the village of Butlers Bridge.
