CLEENISH BULLAUN STONE
Hosting by Aabaco Web Hosting
This bullaun boulder is located outside the north wall of the grave-yard at the roadside.
It has two shallow bullauns, one at the west end which is 0.02m in depth and the other
at the east end which is 0.30m in depth. There is a second stone east of the grave yard,
but access was difficult on my visit, which are said to be St. Patrick's knee prints. These
stones are part of the Penitential Stations at Easter which also includes turning stones
in the bullauns and tying rags to the east gable of the church.
