BALLYBOY STANDING STONE |
A rather well weathered standing stone that has stood the test of time and the attention of livestock. It is located just east of the village of Ardrahan in County Galway, 100m from the main R347, on a small hillock in a grassy field. It measures 1.6m high, 0.5m wide and is 0.3m deep. Like a lot of the monuments in this part of Galway, its limestone composition leaves it open to the ravages of the Irish weather. |
