|ASKILLAUN STONE ROWS I
|This double Stone Row, marked on the OS map as 'Stone Row' but not on the Historic
map, is located on a gentle west slope overlooking Clew Bay and west of the town of
Louisburgh, 'Cluain Cearban'. The stone rows, orientated N - S, are large boulder-like
stones and they could be the outer remains of a megalithic tomb. The stones are on
average 1.6m high with a circular profile and the rows are spaced 2m apart from E-W.
