MAY 2010
This fantastic Sundial is located next to the cross inscribed stone II against the south
wall of the church at Clone. The pillar is 0.95m in height, 0.30m in width and 0.10m in
depth and curves inwards at the middle. The dial is semi-circular in shape 0.50m in
diameter with 12 time-lines radiating from a gnomon hole 0.25m from the edge. At the
top is a 0.20m diameter bump with a second gnomon hole. Not as polished as the
Sundial at
Kilmalkedar in Kerry but still great.
