|ARDMORE II OGHAM STONE

|This is the third stone that was found here, standing in the graveyard, and is now stood
opposite stone 1 in the choir of the ruined cathedral. It is made from green stone and
measures 1.33m in length, 0.33m in width and 0.23m in depth. There is only a small
amount of ogham inscription (name only) on the stone and it reads: 'AMADU'. A small
plain cross is cut upon the sloping top of the stone, on the side opposite the inscription.
