BALLYDURN BULLAUN STONE, COUNTY WATERFORD
This bullaun stone was originally located at Dane's Crossroads and is known as 'The
Hatter's Pot'. The bullaun is traditionally thought to have been used by a local
blacksmith to cool horseshoes. It is a conglomerate stone measuring 0.85m- 0.7m- in
length, 1m- 0.45 in width and 0.45m- 0.25 in depth, with one basin 0.32m in diameter
and 0.18m in depth. It is now moved to the front garden of a modern bungalow.
