Originally found acting as a lintel in a souterrain but now lying in a hollow of the
ground, on the site of an ancient ringfort overgrown in a thicket of trees. This ogham
stone measures 1.37m in length, 0.42m in width, 0.15m in depth and is composed of
slate. The inscription was read by Macalister as 'MODDAGN[I] MAQI GATTAGN[I]
MUCOI LUGNI' and is dated by Ziegler to 400 - 550 AD. Another smaller ogham stone
found in the same location is now lost.
